Three companies pick up curbside recycling in Avon: Waste Management, Republic Services and Priority Waste. The town does not run a trash service of its own. For heavy trash, hazardous waste and yard waste drop-off days, its recycling page points you to the Hendricks County calendar. So the question for a full garage off Rockville Road is what your own hauler will take, and what you can fit in the car for a county day.

ClearPath is Mason McKinney's crew. We're 6 miles away in Brownsburg. You call or text (317) 554-9382, we look at the job, you get the number, and we carry it out.

What the county calendar gets you

Hendricks County has no permanent hazardous waste site. It runs five Tox-Away Days a year on Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dates are on the county's site. Paint, pesticides, gasoline, batteries, computers and TVs are on the list. A TV costs $20 or $25 and anything with Freon is $10, cash or check. Furniture, mattresses and construction material get turned away at the gate.

Yard waste has two county centers, both open April through November: 90 Mardale Drive in Brownsburg and 7020 South CR 875 East in Plainfield. They charge by the bag or the truckload and won't take stumps, root balls, sod or soil. Avon households can use either one. You do the loading and the driving.

Three ways an Avon garage gets empty

  1. The paint cans, the old gas and the dead laptop go to a Tox-Away Day.
  2. The bagged leaves and cut brush go to the Brownsburg or Plainfield yard waste center in the back of a truck.
  3. Everything else, the couch, the freezer, the boxes, the broken patio set, is what ClearPath is for.

An owner from the same county

ClearPath is based in Brownsburg, in Hendricks County like Avon. Mason McKinney owns the company and picks up his own phone at (317) 554-9382. Text him a photo of the garage or use the form. He gives you the real number for the whole job before we start, and then we do the carrying. Out of the garage, off the deck, up from the basement. Whatever still works gets dropped at a donation center before anything goes to the landfill.

What we do in Avon

One of our job photos is an Avon garage after the furniture came out. Start there: furniture and appliance removal and garage cleanouts. One customer wrote that Mason and Drew "came and got my whole garage in less than 2 hours and it looked fresh as new."

Remodel scraps are the other one. Tox-Away Day won't take construction material, so drywall, cabinets and old flooring sit in the garage until someone hauls them. That's construction debris removal. We also do property cleanouts for a move, a sale or a parent's house, and yard debris removal when the pile is bigger than a truck bed. Ask about trailer rental if you'd rather load it yourself.

Not a fit

We do not take paint, chemicals or fuel. Those are Tox-Away Day items. We don't haul tires, and the county takes the first four free at the same event. Demolition past a shed or small structure is outside what we do.

We rented a trailer for 24 hours to clear out unused items taking up space in our basement, garage, attic, and barn and we couldn't have been happier. He was prompt, kind, and very responsive! All we had to do was tell him when we needed it and when we were done and he took care of the rest.

Very respectful young man I just showed him what needed removed and 15 minutes later he texted me that he was done I didn't believe it until I went to the garage and this is the cleanest it's been in at-least 4 years he even watered my plants and gave me his business cards to give to the neighbors this young man is going places.

Raked up and removed garbage bags of old mulch, removed 6 old large shrubs and trimmed a holly tree. Very professional, good work ethic, efficient and personable. Would highly recommend them for removal of household items, storage unit items, office items and clean up of yards.

Avon junk removal questions

Something else? Call or text (317) 554-9382.

Is Avon in your service area?

Yes. We are based in Brownsburg, in the same county, and Avon is one of the five towns we work most.

My hauler won't take the old freezer. Will you?

Furniture and appliance removal is one of our main services. Tox-Away Day takes Freon appliances for $10, but you have to get it to Plainfield on the right Saturday. We come to the garage.

How fast can you get here?

It depends on the week, so ask when you call. One customer wrote that we came out just days after first contact. On one storage unit job, Mason got there the same day.

Do you take remodel debris?

Yes. Drywall, cabinets, flooring and the rest come under construction debris removal. The county's Tox-Away Day doesn't take any of it.
